
A Passionate Carnatic Classical Flautist
SMITHA SRIKIRAN
was instigated to the world of music by her mother and first guru Smt Vijaya Subramhanyam. Under the rigorous tutelage of her performer Guru and Flute Maestro Vid A.V. Prakash, her skill sets were rightly harnessed and nurtured, which transformed and blossomed her into a professional flautist, a worthy pupil of the Mali school that Mysore today is proud of. Smitha is also being resourcefully trained by Dr. R. N. Srilatha in Vocal. Her musical journey has been duly supported by the Indian Government right through. She is one of the few proud Indian classical musicians who performed at the G20 Summit at New delhi in Sept 2023. she is an ICCR empanelled artist and has been a recipient of the Young Artists Scholarship Government of India, CCRT Scholarship – Government of India and Sangeetha Nrithya Academy Scholarship - Government of Karnataka.
